This survey is part of a research study conducted by Sara Prot at Iowa State University. The purpose of the research is to understand attitudes towards scientific research.
Procedures: Participation in this study is voluntary. You may choose to refuse to participate or discontinue participation at any time without penalty or loss of benefits to which the participant is otherwise entitled. This study will take approximately 5 minutes. In this survey you will be asked to answer questions pertaining to attitudes towards scientific research.
Participant Requirements: Participation in this study is limited to individuals age 18 and older.
Risks: The risks and discomfort associated with participation in this study are no greater than those ordinarily encountered in daily life or during other online activities.
Benefits: There may be no personal benefit from your participation in the study but the knowledge received may be of value to humanity.
Compensation & Costs: There will be no cost to you if you participate in this study.
Confidentiality: The data captured for the research will be identified by an arbitrary identification number and does not include any personally identifiable information about you. Federal government regulatory agencies and the Institutional Review Board (a committee that reviews and approves human subject research studies) may inspect and/or copy your records for quality assurance and data analysis. Feel free to print a copy of this consent form for your records.
